Shaft marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, at northern end of complex at West Crebor Mine


Ordnance Survey, 1904 - 1906, Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch Map (Cartographic). SDV325644.

The 1904-1906 25 inch Ordnance Survey map shows the area of spoil to have increased.


Newman, P., 2011, Mining in the Tavy Valley, West Devon. An Assessment of Archaeological Potential (Report - Assessment). SDV347105.

The 1884 25 inch Ordnance Survey map shows that the copper mine at West Crebor had three shafts, the westernmost served by an engine house with chimney. Two large shaft dumps survive, one of which is now serving as a dump for old cars.
