The Braunton Tithe Map of 1840 shows a long range on an east-west axis to the north-east of Ash Barton farmhouse. Comparison with the First Edition Ordnance survey map of 1889, shows this as the northern range of a complex of farm buildings arranged in a square around an open area. These are still visible on an aerial photograph taken in 1946, but have been replaced by a large area under a single roof. Other details: Figures 5-9.
