Five beech trees set in a rectangular arrangement on the east facing slope of field 182 on the tithe. The trees form a tight grouping alongside the boundary at the north end of the field and are aligned north-east-south-west up the slope. The largest is a dead stump and forms the lower end of the line. The line is about 10 metres long and 4 metres wide. A small enclosure is shown here on the 1887 map. The trees are one of the few examples of specimen planting on the estate. Other details: Site Inventory map (2) 017.
