Large, shallow platform set on a south-east facing slope in the middle of Great West Field 145. The platform is about 25 metres north-east to south-west and 20 metres north-west to south-east. The site is under new grass and has obviously been ploughed over long period of time. The function is unclear. It is possible that it represents the corner of a twentieth century field boundary shown in this position and removed in the last 50 years. But it is a large feature and a simple field boundary may not be the only origin. Other details: Site Inventory map (2) 051.
