The public footpath of Ridgeway Hill continues along a curving boundary following the ridgeline east and north of Castle Barton and forming the boundary of National Trust land.The boundary following the ridge is visible from the forecourt of the castle and characteristic of deer park boundaries elsewhere. The boundary bank is on average 1.5 metres high and 3 -3.5 metres wide. It continues along the ridge to the north of National Trust land. Other details: Site Inventory map (2) 70.
