Passmore, A. J., 2008, Rapid Archaeological Assessment of Proposed New Visitor Facilities at Morwellham Quay, Devon, 2 (Report - Assessment). SDV347407.

The earliest detailed estate map (1803) shows an L-shaped building located to the north of the courtyard, which is depicted as having a range of buildings around the west, south and east sides. The revised map of 1817 shows a variety of buildings around the courtyard, with the L-shaped building adjacent to the northern boundary. All these buildings had been constructed since 1787, and the L-shaped building is not shown on the later 19th century Ordnance Survey map. Its function is not known. The existing toilet block lies partially on the site. Other details: Maps.
