Higher Lake was owned by the Sopers in 1526.


Hughes, S., 2011, Higher Lake Barn, Woodland: Results of an Archaeological Watching Brief (Report - Watching Brief). SDV347637.

An archaological brief was undertaken on the site of a recently demolished barn to the rear of the Higher Lake Barn property. No pre-modern archaeological features or deposits were recorded and no finds recovered. Other details: Plan, photos.
