Former field boundary depicted on 1847 Highweek parish Tithe Map, surviving until the early 20th century, to north and west of Houghton Barton. Field boundaries within this site potentially date from the medieval period, in line with the development of the landscape in this area. Buried remains such as ditches and former land surfaces could survive below ground for those boundaries removed. Other details: Appendix 1, A24; figures 2, 4-6, 8.
