The barn is an east facing rectangular rubble stone building, probably mid-19th century, with ground floor shippon and first floor threshing floor. The east front has four symmetrically placed ground floor door openings with segmental brick arches, and a first floor draught or loading door. The west elevation is built into the bank to the rear, with an engine house at first floor level to the north of the building, and a large single door with segmental brick arches opening on the the threshing floor. The ground is ramped up to this door and revetted with stone to the south alongside the lower ground level, leading to the only ground floor door opening, again with a segmental brick arch. See report for full details. Other details: Figures 5, 13-17, 19.
