HERALD EXPRESS, 1986, Boundary Stones to be Restored (Article in Serial). SDV325925.

Historic boundary stones round Totnes are to be restored by Devon County Council.
Totnes town councillor heard that the recent beating of the bounds was supported by 200 people but some problems were encountered finding some of the boundary stones. Some protection to be put around the stones on the highways.

Two boundary stones, one each side of the road, marking the 1897 borough extension. Both bear the inscription TBB 1897.

Site visit 22nd January 2007. Boundary stone at Swallowfield on grass verge opposite turn to Dartington Estate. Inscribed 'T.B.B./1897'. A Totnes Borough Boundstone. One of a series set up to commemorate the 60th year of Queen Victoria's reign. Left hand side is chipped.
