Full description

An irregular hollow in Trench 11 may represent a small pit which, along with a more linear hollow, both circa 25 centimetres deep, was filled with a deposit containing much charcoal and abundant evidence for metalworking kebris including slag and hammerscale. A single sherd of Roman pat was also recovered.
