A cropmark on aerial photographs of July 1946 is likely to indicate the remains of a former field boundary, possibly that associated with Leigh farmhouse, as depicted on the circa 1842 Tithe Map. The cropmark appears to coincide with the boundary depicted on the circa 1842 Tithe Map, but at circa 70 metres in length, appears longer than the boundary depicted. It might therefore represent an earlier phase of enclosure. The farmstead is not depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch Map and had therefore probably been removed by circa the 1880s-1890s.
