A former field boundary, of probable medieval or post-medieval date, is visible on aerial photographs and Lidar data as an earthwork circa 90 metres long, on the lower slopes of a the combe above Abbey River. The relict earthwork is clearly a continuation of an extant boundary to the north-east. The relict boundary is not depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition map and therefore probably passed out of use some time prior to the 1880s.
