HER Number:MDV81236
Name:Deer Park west of Hartland

Summary

The South Deer Park was said in 1301 to be 50 acres. However, the 1842 Tithe Apportionment and circa 1842 Tithe Map show tenements with that name to have covered an area of circa 25 acres with very irregular boundaries. The reconstruction of the medieval boundary must therefore be speculative.
