Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

Narrow ridge and furrow, approximately 5.5 metres apart, is visible on aerial photographs from 1946 as earthworks aligned roughly north-north-east to south-south-west. Is is very clearly defined and likely to be relatively recent when the photograph was taken, presumably to encourage better drainage of the land for agricultural improvement. Although there is no visible trace of them on aerial photographs of 1977, the ridges are visible as cropmarks on 1999 aerial photographs, indicating that some remains survive below ground.
