Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A probable quarry pit is visible as a pale cropmark on aerial photographs from 1959. Although it is difficult to distinguish due to harvesting activity, it may survive as an earthwork or cropmark, just visible as a darker feature on aerial photographs of 2007. No quarry is marked on the 1880s-1890s Ordnance Survey mapping in this location, so presumably extraction activity pre-dates the late nineteenth century.
