Summary
Narrow ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, interpreted as a result of modern deep ploughing for drainage to improve land for agriculture. No earthworks are visible on later aerial photographs, so they may now have been levelled.

Narrow ridge and furrow, spaced between 5 and 7 metres and aligned roughly north to south, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946. They cover a whole field which is depicted as rough ground on the 1880s-1890s Ordnance Survey maps, and are similar in nature to earthwork ridges in many of the nearly fields. They are interpreted as a result of deep ploughing for drainage to improve land for agriculture in the twentieth century. As they are not visible on any later aerial photographs they have probably now been levelled.
