A curvilinear bank is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs from 1946 to 1999 and on LiDAR derived images from data flown in 2007. Its curving form supports an interpretation of a relict medieval hedgebank just to the north of Norton, which is recorded in documents of 1281.
