Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

Narrow ridge and furrow in two fields, spaced at between 6 and 7 metres and running appromimately cross-contour, is visible as earthworks in aerial photographs between 1946 and 1959. They are interpreted as the result of modern deep ploughing for better drainage and agricultural improvement. The earthworks in the northern field are visible only as cropmarks on aerial photographs from 1977, presumably having been reduced by ploughing. As no earthworks or cropmarks are visible on photographs from 1999 they may have been completely levelled.
