Full description
Stone, F. H. S., Flint Scatter (Un-published). SDV340683.
Flint scatter from a ploughed field at Velwel Farm on Rattery Down. Part of the Stone Collection at Exeter Museum. Eight grey flints in a small tin comprising one thick steep-sided notched or nosed scraper; one round ripple flaked, discoidal-like scraper or knife; one flake retouched with a small nose; one thumb scraper; one small blade with tip obliquely broken off; one small triangular-sectioned flake with traces of wear at sides; one broken tipped borer; one flake very thin with pressure flaking on one surface, shaped rather like a triangular arrowhead.
