Church-house inn. Ale for village brewed by incumbent and churchwardens. Proceeds of sale being used for upkeep of church. One settle remains. Open hearth fireplace filled in. Brewhouse, where the landlord brewed white ale, is in ruins.(sheldon). Damaged in military operations on 8/12/1945 (copeland).
