Plot 223 is described as 'Barn Park House' in the East Teignmouth tithe apportionment.

House in three blocks, now three dwellings. Early/mid 19th century. Painted stucco, three hipped slate roofs with rendered stacks to side walls. Double-depth plans. Coped parapets and cornices. Exterior: No.8 to the left is two storeys; two-window range. Moulded architraves to openings. 3/6-pane sash windows to the first floor, one 6/6-pane sash to the left of the ground floor and a six-panel door with a narrow overlight to the right. This block was the former service wing. No.9 to the centre is two storeys; symmetrical three-window range. Moulded architraves to plate-glass windows, those to the ground floor with cornices and panelled aprons. Projecting enclosed porch with clasping Tuscan pilasters, modillion cornice semicircular arch with moulded imposts, archivolt with keystone, fanlight and double three-panel doors. No.10 is single-storey; four-window range. The upper walls have two blind windows with a 20th century single-storey lean-to to the front. This was the former ballroom and the concealed painted ceiling still exists. The rears have coped parapets and cornices and plate-glass windows, Nos 9 and 10 have moulded architraves. No.9 has a swept canopy to a verandah, now glazed in. Interiors not inspected.
