Painted render over limestone rubble, slate roof hipped to the north-east and north-west; rendered stacks to the east and west slopes, the north ridge and an external stack to the east end of the north, entrance, facade in Mere Lane. L-plan.
Exterior: two storeys with attic; two-window range. To the right of the north facade is a tall external stack offset above the ground floor. To right of centre are steps down to the early 19th century six-panel door in a reeded architrave with roundels to the upper corner blocks. A slate pitched-roof porch with trellised sides extends approximately five metres to the street. To the left of the door are six/six-pane sash windows to both floors. To the inside left is a lower two-storey one-bay forward wing with a hipped slate roof and a nine-pane horizontally-pivoted window to the ground floor. The right return has a hipped dormer and 20th century windows; the left return is blank; the rear has a late 19th century two-storey canted bay and windows and some 20th century windows. Interior: the ground-floor room to the east end has a semi-elliptical arched recess; fixed shutters to the hall; some six-panel doors and early 20th century fireplaces. The projecting wing to the front has two rows of segmental stone arches one formerly with a locking door, probably a wine store.
