House, now house and shop. Early 19th century. Painted stucco, roof unseen. Double-depth plan. Exterior: three storeys; symmetrical three bays. The parapeted facade is flanked by large semicircular bays with 8/8-pane sash windows in curved frames, the ground-floor right has a 20th century shop window. French windows with margin panes and overlight open onto a first-floor balcony with delicate vertical segmental curves to the railings between the bays which form a porch to the six-panel door. 6/6-pane sash window to the centre of the second floor. Interior: not inspected. Historical note: in 1878 this was the house from which George Henry Croydon published the Teignmouth Gazette. Altered ground floor, but complete upper floors with curved bays complimenting those on No.2. (Kelly's Directory: 1902).
