4 The Strand, Ferryboat Inn.
Formerly known as: Crown Hotel. Public house. Early C19, probably a remodelling of an earlier building. Incised stucco, slate roof to rendered stacks to right-of-centre and left gable end. Double-depth plan.
Exterior: 2 storeys; symmetrical 2-window range. Coped parapet and cornice band; moulded curved forward frames to 8/8-pane sash windows, those to the 1st floor with curved aprons, the wall above and below is flat. The central doorcase has half-round reeded pilasters with moulded caps, the entablature has diamond shapes to the frieze below a dentil cornice. To the far left is another blocked door with a similar but simpler doorcase.
Interior: is altered.
