Full description
Evans, H. R., 1958, Broadhempston, 87 (Article in Serial). SDV296893.
Edward Ellis had a small slate tablet let into the wall of the south aisle inscribed 'To the memory of Edward Eles of Beston, Gent' with a space for the date which was never filled in. Also a rhymed epitaph which ends with the couplet:- 'Nature's bond is cancelled; his fate contented / Before he died (with leave) the heavens lamented'.
