Summary

Remains of old farm buildings at West Hookney Farm, North Bovey. Probably dated to the late Medieval period and were still depicted on the early 20th century maps. By the late-1940s they were mostly in ruins although one small structure appears to have survived by the road.

Farm buildings depicted on the Tithe Map on the west and northern side of the yard at West Hookney.

Buildings appear to be mostly in ruins on the aerial photograph.

A deserted Medieval site at Lower Hookney, SX 714825, consisting of one building and enclosure which are in use on the present day farm. (There is an enclosure immediately south of a rectangular building on OS 6" 1963 at SX 71408245 which is shown as roofed on OS 6" 1906).
