Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

A large rectangular building set around a courtyard is depicted within plot 241 on the Paignton Tithe Map.

A building is depicted and labelled as 'Preston House.'

A building is depicted and labelled as 'Preston House.'

Area shown as housing. The house marked as Preston Cottage on earlier mapping is named as Preston House.

A large rectangular building set around a courtyard is depicted within plot 241 on the Paignton Tithe Map of 1841. A building of a similar layout is depicted within this location on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps where it is labelled as 'Preston House.' The building is not present on the Ordnance Survey Master Map indicating that it had been demolished and replaced by a housing development prior to 2015.

The building is not present. The area has been developed for housing. Preston Cottage has also been demolished, the site now part of Preston Gardens.
