Full description

Couldrey, W. G., 1932, Memories and Antiquities of Paignton, 223 (Article in Serial). SDV343465.

The well in Well Street was once the centre of Paignton. Described as being 'a bountiful and excellent water supply', it supplied the needs of most of the inhabitants for many centuries until about 60 years ago when it was supplemented by a reservoice at Blagdon.
