Full description

OS, CITING PHILLIPS, Untitled Source (Report - Survey). SDV317209.

What is probably a second socket stone lies on the turf near the path. It is a large square granite block with the upper corners chamfered. The upper surface has been hollowed out to form a trough. It lies out side the west door of the church (os, citing phillips). Vis=20/11/1952 (os). Almost certainly the base of a cross. It has sides of 1.0m and is 0.5m high. The hollow in the top is approximately equal with sides of 0.8m. Not in situ.
