Full description
Child, P., 1997, Proposed Change of Use of Walled Garden to Garden Sales Etc, Bickleigh Castle, Bickleigh (Correspondence). SDV351675.
The walled garden at Bickleigh is a fine structure with massive cob walls, said to have been constructed in the 1930s. If this is the case, it is a remarkable example of the early revival of cob building. Whatever the date of the cob walls, they are impressive and contribute to the setting of the castle.
