Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
Two buildings depicted on Tithe Map in southern half of field 347.
Balkwill, C. J., 1976, Barnstaple By-Pass, No. 5 (Report - Survey). SDV71430.
A lime kiln and associated building, of which neither still stand or appeared on the 1885 Ordnance Survey, were served by a channel to the Taw, now filled in.

Site visit 28th June 1984. No visible sign of limekiln, although there is a slight, almost semi-circular platform on the site. Channel not apparent on the ground but shows on aerial photographs. On line of Barnstaple Bypass.
