Earlier 18th century house with main north/south range and wings on west side. 2 storeys. Originally with symmetrical double front fenestrated 2:1 (now blocked) 2:1:2. on east facade. Welsh slate roof with rendered stack and coved eaves cornice. Random, Devonian limestone rubble front (returns rendered). Late 18th century recessed sash windows with plain cement surrounds and glazing bars; outer and central bays with paired windows. Late 18th century wooden, Greek Doric portico; outer columns replaced by modern granite piers. Doorway with side-lights and half glazed door. Good panelled room to ground floor with raised and fielded pannelling and doors, boxed-out coved cornice, French window flanked by fluted pilasters and bolection moulded overmantle of former chimney piece. Restored, decorated plaster ceiling with moulded ribwork. Open-well staircase with panelled dado, closed strung, turned balusters, square newels and moulded handrail.
