Full description
Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, SX86SW15 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV350478.
Visit on 16/08/1951 records a broad passage way leading in the yard of the former Market House Inn now occupies the site of the Old South Gate. Although the entrance is obviously old I do not think that it contains any remains of the old gate.
