57 Queen Street (Formerly listed as 59 and 61 Queen Street). Commercial premises. Mid 19th century. Painted stucco, slate roof hipped to the left. Double-depth plan. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. Wide bracketed eaves; moulded archivolts with imposts and keystones to semicircular arched windows with horizontal glazing bars to 2/2-pane sashes. Central first-floor window is flanked by moulded pilasters with semicircular-arched recesses, paired windows to each side are flanked by similar clasping pilasters. 20th century shop to the ground floor has banded quoins. Rendered to rear with glazing bar sashes. INTERIOR: not inspected. A distinguished stucco commercial facade, modest in scale but prominently sited opposite United Reform Church, now Church House.
