Harris, S. G., 1899, Notes on the History of Newton Abbot, 292 (Article in Serial). SDV338239.

Wolborough Firehouse, on the north side of the Chapel of St. Leonard. Mentioned in the register of 1785 when feoffes gave land to erect a house to keep the fire engine.

Fire station subsequently sited in former market building on Market Street.
