Summary

Enclosures and linear features are recorded from cropmarks visible on aerial photographs of 1989 to the west of Lower Netherton. The cropmarks are possibly of modern agricultural origin.

Vis=26/2/1992 (robinson) marks lie in fairly level field. A n-s hollow does not seem to relate to them. Other enclosures (sx87se/287 + 278 + 333) adjacent (dprfp).

Cropmarks of a possible ditched enclosure and ditched linear features are visible on aerial photographs of 1989 to 1992, on the north and east facing slopes to the west of Lower Netherton. The cropmarks appear to reflect the line of the field boundary to the north and are interpreted as probably of modern agricultural, not archaeological origin. They have not been transcribed by the survey.
Many of the aerial photographs consulted are copies of DAPs held by the Historic England Archive. These have been recorded here as separate sources as there is a possibility that variations in processing could result in images on which archaeological features show differently than on the original images.
