Russell, P., 1955, Fire Beacons in Devon, 285 (Article in Serial). SDV336138.

Rowhorn fire beacon. Recorded in John Norden's Terrier of Crediton (1598). Here Fairfax turned back to Crediton, after attempting to reach Alphington and envelop Exeter in December 1645.
