A search failed to reveal the remains of a cross 'at the foot of a hill to Trusham'.

G. Rudd Thompson said that the fragment here was on the right-hand side of the road from Canonteign (SX 837831) to the station (SX 848812) in the hedge, but it has now disappeared. A piece of cross-shaft. This position would place the cross in Christow or Hennock parish, not in Trusham.
