Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
This building is first depicted on the late 19th century historic map; it was not shown on the earlier Tithe Map so presumably dates to between 1840-1889.
Richards, A. F., 2014, Hobhouse farmhouse, Drewsteignton (Personal Comment). SDV347515.
This building was originally indicated to be the listed building at the farm but this appears to have been a mistake. The listing description clearly describes the old 16th century farmhouse at the site, but gives misleading information regarding the orientation of the building, so this may account for the mix-up.
The historic maps seem clear that this building dates from the mid-late 19th century.
