Site of a barn and cottage depicted on the 1838 Tithe Map. The cottage had gone by the time of the 1880s-1890s Ordnance Survey map, when the site was known as Oxlands Barn. The barn too has now gone.

Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Recorded on the Exeter St Thomas Tithe Apportionment as Barn and Road (Plot 894a) and Cottage (894b). Plot 894c is also recorded as a cottage and garden, although no cottage is shown.

Oxlands depicted comprising a dwelling with a barn to the north, with a track running past on the east side of the buildings.

Site marked as Oxlands Barn. Two rectangular buildings are shown with a rectangular recess in the field boundary to the southeast. The buildings are surrounded by orchards with a track to the north.

Oxland Farm, Oldridge is recorded in Tithe return for 1838. Oxland Lane has been filled in and Oxland Barn demolished.
