Masson Phillips, E. N., 1977, Archaeological notes, 179 (Article in Serial). SDV154831.

A cupped quartzite pebble with circular hollows on opposed faces. Bunter quartzite, 80 millimeters by 56 millimeters by 31millimeters thick. Possibly a hammerstone or part made macehead. In either event more probably Mesolithic than related to the nearby Roman site.
