Summary
Vis=19/11/1956(os) traces of earthworks as well as circles were found on the south slope of furzeham hill before the houses in manor road were built. The circles seem to have been surrounded by ridges, inside each of which was a 'pathway' of pebbles pitched on the edge. These may have served as a soakaway for rainwater from a roof.
