Plans for change of use of redundant mill buildings to private dwellings and garages, plus improvement to existing dwelling.

Former mill house. Probably 1814, contemporary with mill, with mid C19 additions. Stone rubble walls. Gable ended slate roof. 3 brick stacks, 2 at outer sides of each block and 1 between the two. Plan: the original house, probably of 2-room plan, is at the rear. In the mid-late C19 2 adjoining wings were added behind it forming a new front. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4-window front of 2 gabled ranges, the right- hand one projecting with 2-storey canted bay window of 2 and 4 pane sashes. The left-hand range has two 16-pane sashes on each floor with an arched stair window to the right and a contemporary glazed door below. These windows have stone arches above. The mill building is attached at the left-hand end. To the rear the original front retains its small-paned sash windows. Interior not inspected.
