Godfrey, E., 1969, Notes on Dawlish Parish and its Churchwardens' Accounts, 29 (Article in Serial). SDV303677.

In the churchyard of St. Gregory's is a large group of gravestones to the Tripe family. Many of them were probably buried in the church. The earliest stone is to Gawen Tripe, gent, of Smallacombe, bearing a worn crest at the head. He died in 1804 at the age of 76.
