Collytown Farmhouse including attached garden wall at west-end incororating bee-boles.
Farmhouse now split into 2 occupations. Early to mid C18. Rendered stone rubble and cob. Hipped slate roof.
Plan: overall L-shaped on plan. Unusual transitional C18 plan,1 1/2 rooms deep,with principal room to each side of wide entrance passage containing staircase, the right-hand room with fireplace across rear right-hand corner and sharing axial stack with narrow kitchen at right end which has salting-house/dairy wing attached to rear. The wing appears to have been added in the early C19.
The L - shaped front garden wall extends from left end of main range, with capping, and incorporates 9 step-stopped beeboles in all, 2 to the south facing wall and 7 to the longer east facing wall, all intact. See listing description for full details.
