The Esplanade, two houses built on the site of a former hotel of note in its time, and containing then the assembly rooms of the town.
Bulley, J.A., 1956, Teignmouth as a Seaside Resort, 150 (Article in Serial). SDV350516.
Original assembly rooms of Teignmouth, prior to the building of those of Patey. Coffee, Assembly and Billiard rooms. In use until 1826, when converted into Lipscomb's Royal Marine and Family Hotel. Opened about 1800.
