Summary
Fighter dispersal pen (destroyed) North Weald Airfield
Full description
This was dispersal pen "P.3" (see SMR 20644 for more information on the fighter pens of North Weald airfield) <1> <2>
It was a classic "E" shape, facing E towards the perimeter track. The site has now been built over by the E bank of the M11 motorway. An unidentifiable grassy hump now stands just inside the airfield boundary, probably the pen's bulldozed remains.
