Summary
Fighter dispersal pen (destroyed) North Weald Airfield
Full description
This was dispersal pen "P.4" (see SMR 20644 for more information on the fighter pens of North Weald airfield) <1> <2>
It was a classic "E" shape, facing E towards the perimeter track. The site has now been built over by the M11 motorway. An unidentifiable grassy hump now stands just inside the airfield boundary, probably the pen's bulldozed remains.
