Summary
Ammunition Shelter (destroyed)
Full description
Contemporary records sate, “Magazine. In Young orchard at rear of Brick House Galleywood. Map ref. 153214”. (Mil. Ed.) <1>
“Brick House” still survives as No. 27, The Street, Galleywood and in the back garden several of the fruit trees still remain. Inside the S boundary is a small rectangle of concrete (5’ x 4’) with the remains of a single skin of housebricks around the perimeter. Although possibly of the right vintage this appears to be too small to have been the magazine. The NGR above is the centre of the orchard. <2>
